IMPORTANT NOTICE
At Alfies, we cannot accept liability for parcels that are lost or damaged in transit. Once your parcel is handed over to our courier partner, The Courier Guy – Pudo, the responsibility for its safe and timely delivery lies with them.
Please double-check all your information at checkout. We are unable to take responsibility for delivery issues caused by incorrect details.
DISCLAIMER
All our products are lovingly handmade. While we strive for consistency, slight variations in length and color may occur. We are dedicated to crafting pet-friendly, non-toxic, and durable items because your pet’s safety is our top priority. However, we encourage customers to regularly inspect our products for wear and suitability. Alfies cannot be held liable for any injuries or damages resulting from product use.
Please note that our accessories are not chew-proof. To ensure your pet’s safety, keep them out of reach or supervise your pet while they’re in use.
CHANGES CANCELLATIONS:
Once your order has been placed, a mere 24 hours later, we are unable to accommodate any modifications or cancellations for custom items. This constraint arises from the fact that our artisans initiate the handcrafting process promptly.
We kindly request your consideration when making a purchase from a small business. Crafting your items entails considerable time and effort, and last-minute cancellations pose challenges. We ask that you shop mindfully, ensuring that your selections are indeed what you require.
REFUNDS & RETURNS POLICY
- Custom or Personalized Items: We cannot offer refunds or returns for custom-made or personalized items, including custom leads, bow ties, collars, dresses, or any custom-printed products. These are handmade to order and not pre-made.
- Non-Custom Items: For non-custom items like harnesses, leashes, bow ties, and collars listed on our website, we accept returns or exchanges if there is a fault or a sizing issue.
- Sale Items: Items purchased on sale are not eligible for returns, refunds, or exchanges.
How to Proceed with a Return:
- Contact Us: Reach out within 7 days of your purchase if you have any concerns.
- Return Timeline: Send the item(s) back within 14 days.
Important Conditions:
- Items must be returned in their original condition, unused, and as they were when purchased.
- Shipping costs for returns are the buyer’s responsibility unless the item is faulty.

EXCHANGES
We’re happy to offer exchanges for non-custom handmade products. However, please note:
- You’ll need to cover the shipping costs to send the item back to us.
- You’ll also be responsible for the shipping cost of the new item being sent to you, unless the original item is faulty.
To avoid any inconvenience, we recommend checking the size chart carefully before making your purchase.
GENERAL LEAD TIMES
- Velvet, Cotton, and Sparkle Collection: These items typically take 7 to 10 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) to process after we receive your payment or order confirmation.
- Custom Orders: These may take between 10 to 21 business days to complete.
- Courier Delivery: Delivery usually takes 2-5 business days, depending on your location. Please allow 48 hours for tracking information to be available.
Please note that during busy periods, such as the festive season, there may be delays. We will notify you if any delays occur.
DELIVERY SERVICE
We use The Courier Guy (Pudo) for all deliveries.
We offer door-to-door shipping and locker-to-locker options.
Once your order is shipped, you’ll receive an email from The Courier Guy with a tracking number to check the status of your parcel. Please allow 48 hours for tracking information to become available.
If you haven’t received your order within 4 days of receiving the shipping confirmation email, please contact us at info@alfiespetacc.co.za with your name and order number, and we’ll assist you.
During busy times, such as the festive season, there may be delays. If you haven’t received your parcel within 5 days, please contact us.
If your order arrives damaged, please email us as soon as possible at info@alfiespetacc.co.za with a photo of the damage and your order number. We’ll review the situation and work to resolve it.
LOCAL PICKUP
Local pickup is available in Loevenstein, Bellville. We’ll contact you via email and WhatsApp to arrange a convenient time and date for collection.
Please note that dedicated time slots will be provided via WhatsApp for pickup.
